Committee: Education & Research Committee

Education and Research Committee

This committee is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of education for practicing reflexologists at both the state and national level.

NYSRA works closely with The American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) encouraging our members to obtain national certification through the ARCB. NYSRA recognizes ARCB certification as the “Gold Standard” for certification of reflexologists in the USA; demanding the highest educational, clinical and exam requirements for reflexology certification at the national level. NYSRA does not recognize any other national certification board.

NYSRA offers Continuing Education workshops that offer ARCB approved CEUs to reflexologists from NY State, the US and international communities. Non-members are welcome to participate in any workshop if space allows. A non-member fee applies.

NYSRA consults with the American Commission for Accreditation of Reflexology Education and Training (ACARET) regarding educational standards at the state and national levels. NYSRA supports a minimum standardized educational core curriculum for all ACARET accredited schools of reflexology.

NYSRA maintains files on current reflexology research from peer-reviewed professional journals. Members are invited to e-mail appropriate reflexology research abstracts to info@nysraweb.org. Members looking for articles of interest may contact us for abstracts of interest. NYSRA cannot copy or send complete articles to persons of interest due to copyright laws.
